Those are great question!
1. the celery in the salt water decreased in mass, the control celery decreased but not that much. All the changes in the salt water were more pronounced than the ones in regular water.
2. We have noticed that about plants drooping. Stella thinks that could be because the plant doesn't have enough water, due to the salt.
One of our new experiment ideas is that we could measure how fast water travels up a plant stem. We could have different flasks all with celery. The IV would be when you take the celery out of the flask to measure how much water had gone up. The DV would be how far it had gone up. We would have food coloring to see the water. We would then compile all our data in a line graph to display the information we found. Tell us what you think :)
